WELCOME TO THE KSHATRIYAS ASSOCIATION OF NORTH AMERICA

Few years back just an idea for a gathering of The Kshatriyas (Rajus) on the occasion of Sankranthi turned into a spectacular reality in 2012. At that time one thing shined in our hearts and minds that this occasion should become the catalyst for the creation and the spread of a platform for Rajus across the East Coast and around North America; a platform that would allow us to act in unison when the need arises, and create an environment for the understanding of our culture and tradition to pass it on to the next generation...

HISTORY

Kshatriya or Kashtriya, meaning warrior, is one of the four varnas (social orders) in Hinduism. It traditionally constituted the military and ruling elite of the Vedic-Hindu social system outlined by the Vedas and the Laws of Manu. The Sanskrit word Kshatam means sorrow, and a kshatriya is who saves beings from sorrow. This is the spirit that built our history.
