Raju Vegesna

Mr. Ananta Koti Raju Vegesna (Mr. Raju Vegesna) is a Chairman & Managing Director at Sify Technologies Ltd. and a President & Chief Executive Officer at ServerEngines LLC.

Earlier in his career, he was a key designer in the development of 68K microprocessors at Motorola. He then joined ROSS Technology as Chief Architect. He also served as the Vice President for research and development at LiquiSource Inc. In 1994 Mr. Vegesna founded ServerWorks Corporation and, as Chairman and CEO, led ServerWorks to become the world leader in computer chipsets, which was acquired by Broadcom Corporation in 2001. Not one to sit on his laurels, he set up ServerEngines Inc, that in under a decade, quickly became the leader in network and storage convergence products.Mr. Vegesna’s proven track record gives ample evidence of his widely acknowledged determination, management acumen, technical expertise and creativity. He serves as the Director at Raju Vegesna Infotech & Industries Private Limited. He holds several patents in Microprocessor and Multiprocessor technology.

In addition to his business activities, Mr. Vegesna is an active philanthropist, individually and through his U.S. charitable foundation, The Raju Vegesna Foundation and its sister Indian charitable trust, the Raju Vegesna Foundation (India). The super-specialty hospital at Chinna Thirupati is his way of enabling the barely-affordable sections of the society with advanced healthcare. In 2011, the Foundation built the largest religious dinning (Annadanam) complex in the world for the Tirupathi temple. This complex can seat 120,000 people for 3-meal services daily. Currently the Foundation supports 29 primary and secondary schools both in infrastructure and student aids, health care for students and elderly and destitute support. Almost all temple towns of Andhra Pradesh are now covered by the Raju Vegesna Foundation for Clean Water.

Mr. Vegesna holds a Master of Science degree in computer engineering from Wayne State University and a Bachelor of Science degree in electronics engineering from Bangalore University.
